I wonder what do we have to do as "Responcable citizens." Does this mean we have to pay attention to all the world affairs? Does this mean we have to vote? Does this mean we have to have enough knowledge of world afairs to vote knowledgably for presidents and other public officials that have foreign agendas we agree with. Honestly i couldn't keep up with all of the global issues well enough to have a valuable opinion while still going to school or having a job. I thought we were supposed to vote for people because then their responibility is to watch the world and be our eyes and ears. To watch the information we don't have time to. Now how am i supposed to vote for someone to do that for me, when i never really know anything about them? When i beleive all they do is say what they think people want to hear not what they mean? When Corporations have more pull in MY GOVERNMENT than i do. What then? Does that mean to be a concerned citizen i have to protest? Leave the country? Stop paying taxes? I really don't think their is a very good solution to make my voice heard. To even form a worthwhile voice. So i guess I am not a good citizen becuase i don't trust anyone to make the decisions for me and i don't have time to research them enough to make a decision for myself.
