CU is trying to teach its students something new... Censorship and restricting free speech. The whole culture around college and party is getting out of control, now if you have 4 drinks in one night your binge drinking... thats bad... but To my knowledge and all things i have seen about the past people have been going out and drinking six packs and more since forever in college. Want to put a negative term on dangerous over drink great, but realize the people that have died this year havent been having the 4 or 5 that makes them a binge drinker... They have been having between 30 and 40 drinks in one night! That is Binge drinking... 4 or 5 is a normal college night out at the bars!
Anyways students that talked about this and drinking on campus were sent nasty letters from the adminisatration warning them not to talk to the papers with information like that. They also sent letters to the parents of those students. So I will say Screw you CU, telling all the students that we are supposed to be a walking advertisement. We know about the actual culture and life around campus and we can tell people how it is. CU who wont sell beer during any sporting event of course has specail boxes where rich doners can drink during the game.
So want to hear about CU's attempts at censorship read here. I think CU should just stop supporting an athletic administration that supports sexism and then maybe i will worry about bad mouthing a schools alcohol policies.

regardless of how true it is that 4-5 drinks is an average night out, you can't blame the administration for trying to preserve a halfway decent image. when maybe 6 people die around the country from alcohol poisoning and 2 of which are in colorado, i think it's the school's responsibility to downplay the fact that they support a drinking environment. the administration knows what they have to say, and what they have to do, and that those two rarely coincide. go buffs!

It is not the schools duty, right, privledge, or anything else to define how the students are allowed to describe the school. Each and every student has a different take on this school and should be allowed to freely express it.
this is a travishamockery.

Althought i understand the schools job to protect its image. I dont think that goes so far as sending letters to students and parents of students that dont believe the image is true or appropraite. The letters seemed to be threatening even to the point that grades or expulsion could become an issue. That is shit, students are fine to express their opinions about CU's lifestyle.
Want to stop death related to drinking actually enforce the drinking rules on the fraternatiy houses. 5 of the 6 deaths were frat related...
