Homeless

Well I recently saw a homeless person while I was on my way to work one morning, they were walking with a small trash bag and picking up trash from the sidewalk and the side of the road. It made me think about how someone that has pretty much nothing still takes the time and cares about the apperance of their city, their home. It was kind of weird and forced me to stop and think for a bit. I think since I have developed such a hate for society lately that it was refreshing and good thing to see someone with so little still caring about others. Obviously not out to get any true benifit from helping out, but just a desire to do good. So what have you done to help your fellow men (and women) lately?

There are alot of homeless people around denver and I happen to pass some of their main hang outs while driving to and from work, and I have started to become really curious about some of their stories. How they got there? What they want? Their stories, histories, families, girlfriends, boyfriends, and what little things they still love. I was thinking how sometimes on a really nice summer day, when I pass the homeless park (a park filled with homeless people by a food shelter), that it must be kind of like a little party with old friends greeting each other while relaxing and waiting for a nice meal... perhaps i paint to pretty of a picture, but I am sure once in awhile they can forget their worries for a short while as well...

So sometimes I just focus on the little joys of life... the feeling of the sun on your skin, the calmness you get when you look out over trees blowing in the wind, that feeling the moment your drifting off into sleep, the tingle as someone's finger brushes against your skin, the look in someones eyes as you give a hug goodbye, and many more little things worth noticing to just remind you everything is alright...

Sorry. Shouldn't try and wreck a thoughtful post. You're right, the little things in life are what matter.
