Well on a friends suggestion i tried to rent Lords of war last night. I decided to give another shot to online movie rentals. I have done it a couple times in the past and decided it might be worth giving another attempt. The cost was down from $4.99 to $3.99 which is nice, but it should be more like $2.00. I guess pricing doesnt matter when their service sucks and just doesn't work.
Yeah I paid my $3.99 downloaded my file, and imeadiately I just have windows DRM (Digital Rights Management) Errors. So i just downloaded from thier service and it wont let me play the file, because it believes I have tried to transfer it to another computer. First of why they hell should it care, when it is a time based DRM and I can watch the file for 24 hrs. How aobut you can move it anywhere you want play it anywhere but in 24 hrs it goes bad. No i think this concept would scare them for some unknown reason. So CinemaNow, which has solutions that involve deleting a bunch of hidden system files and editting your registry with warnings that if you do this wrong none of your DRM files will eer be able to play again. That is bullshit and I am not going to risk it. They are loosing costumers and increasing their costs by having overly restrictive and complicated DRM.
Seriously the only good thing I can say about CinemaNow is that they did refund my money and let me cancel my account. If their service actually worked, they might have found and occasional customer, who would participate in thier 2 dollar tuesdays, cause that is a good price, but no, they wont support Firefox, which they would be easily capable of, they use overly protective DRM, and it flat out just doesnt work sometimes. I have rented from them twice so i will say it doesnt work half the time. (which i am sure isnt true), but if an advanced computer user like myself can't watch a movie easily off their system what in the hell do they expect for parents.
Screw you CinemaNow, for ruining a good idea and slowly running yourself into the ground. I want SIMPLE online movie rentals.

it is possible that your computer using is beyond their cognitive capacity. I have seen your setup and all the drives probably scarred their file like when the virgin girl got scared when she pulled your pants down
