TV free for me?

I really didn't have TV for a long time and I liked it, I have slowly gone back to watching more of it, especially since I can now record all the shows I like and not watch any of the commercials. Anyways, someone made this good post about quiting cable and it made me wonder if I should just give it up again?

Quiting Cable

I don't have cable (because I can't afford it), but there are only a couple of channels i miss. You'll love this--for my birthday, my sister got me season 2 of "lois and clark: the new adventures of superman." speaking of childhood memories...

Dan:

Yeah that is pretty sweet. I plan on buying it soon as well. I own season 1, but hadn't realized they released season 2 until recently. I guess I have to buy it based on the fact that I Love Teri Hatcher. I am hoping she sees the site some day and that mildly creeps her out and excites her at the same time.

Tell your sister that I owe her a note.

Mark:

I was lucky enough not to have cable growing up - there weren't enough houses on my road to make it worthwhile for the cable company... or at least that's what my parents told us. I still don't watch tv - EVER... I do like DVDs though.

She's correct - in that you'll soon start developing a hatred for the common-idol-obssessed folk. My office is that way... it's pathetic.

i was without a tv a couple summers ago and i was up to date on pretty much all major news. the only thing to slip by me was when that homemade tank terrorized granby. and i didn't even care about missing that little tidbit all that much since there's so little local news that actually affects us. i myself have been using torrents to catch the two shows i have any interest in. the rest of tv is just background noise. go buffs!!

I wen't with out cable for almost two hole years! it totally sucked.
