4 days later

it is four days later and I can finally walk again... I was barely capable of getting to work on tuesday because I could barely walk. Crazy how much running can hurt your feet, and if I do that crap again I am so getting running shoes... Oh well, yippie for the weekend.

Art banned

Seriously what has been going on in this country, when did Americans become afraid of discussing anything? Do we just want to carry on and ignore the changing world around us? I know many things going on are changing and there is progress on some levels, but there is an attempt pushed by our president to add an amendment that would make gays lesser people in our country? Do we really want laws on the books that put values of some over others?

Colorado art show bans many pieces deemed to controversial... if art isn't controversial and putting forth a message what is the point?

I deny your reality and substitue my own.

Also, I just wanted to say I think Erin is pretty... and I miss her while she is in New York.

Lastly I am way behind on the things I have to do...

No Liberal Media

In my life I have never seen liberal media, all though I think it has been called that as long as I have been alive.

Fox sells the Simpsons (with many controversial episodes (gays rights, gay marriage, immigration) on one network, and complains about it on the news network - I think that people consider FOX news and not advertising is one of the most socially detrimental things currently around.

Just a quick update

So it seems everything is just too exciting and moving too fast, there isn't enough time for it all. I am having a blast, but man I can't keep up with everything I need to do/should be doing.

Anyways authentication and struts display tiles, will have to wait, but here is an entry to keep up with everything... Erin is back in town it has been great to have her. She is currently trying to turn me on to sushi, good luck. I like going on walks around the city with her almost every night. I have yet to learn how to balance my time while she is around.

The world seems to be more plastic and fake each day that I look at it... Oh well I guess it is ok because I know what real things I am looking for.

It is so easy to put a smile on my face

languor

languor: lack of energy or vitality.

damn you google

Google I hate bundled programs. I hate watching any quicktime movies because I have to install crappy bloated itunes. Why would I want a huge itunes download just to watch quicktime video?

Why would I want google toolbar if I download shockwave to play games.

Google you used to be better than this, put this with your adsense scamming and a great leader is falling hard and fast to be just another corporation looking to expand their profit/market shares anyway they can...

Google bundles toolbar with adobe products

perhaps just a rough adjustment year?

Spain Copyright

"Just read on Zeropaid that Spain has recently voted in compulsory copyright licensing, levying a tax on all blank media. This includes cd-r, dvd-r, flash media, printers, scanners, cell phones, everything. The tax will be collected by the government and 'given to the copyright holder.'" -Spain Copyright

So this doesn't make any sense there are plenty or reasons to use blank media for your own backups, photos, word documents and such, that aren't copyright related. So if I am paying copyright owners every time I buy blank media in Spain, shouldn't I expect I can burn, trade, and download any of their copyrighted material for free seeing as I have paid for it based on media?

I am pretty sure that is how I would look at it, but basically they say it is illegal to do that, but we say that is all your doing with blank media so we will charge everyone money as if they are doing it, but make the act of copying it to media illegal, so now your paying for something that is actually illegal to do. Why is it that our government are owned by big business. This does NOTHING but hurt consumers, and pay large companies that are refusing to innovate.
