Celebrity in this country has gone far past being out of control and getting to the point that watching any normal news leads you to be highly uniformed of what is going on in the world. People wonder why American's are so uninformed of the rest of the world, look at our mainstream news...
Mainstream Media Coverage of JonBenet Ramsey story vs. NSA ruling

Republican Congressman Pete Hoekstra, chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, pointed to the alleged airplane plot that was disrupted last week. “It is disappointing that a judge would take it upon herself to disarm America during a time of war,” he said in a statement.
I like how defending the Constitution is disarming America, instead of supporting our freedoms and what made this country great in the first place.
Our vice president said people voting for senators against the war, were really supporting the terrorist goals... Seriously, it can't be so black and white. I kind of want to puke.

This kind of retoric has been used before. Back then, we called it fascism. Dick Cheney is the farthest thing from "American" than I can imagine, yet he's VP. A government by the idiots, for the idiots.
