Well I am glad that I stopped donating to MADD, they are not working towards better transportation and education and safer roads. They are just pretty much against anything with alcohol. Anyways it turns out 81% of the money you donate to it just goes towards running and administration... I bet some MADD CEO is getting paid a million dollars for his non profit charity, bit me MADD no more money for you.
MADD uses only 19 cents of each dollar donated for charitable work.
have you donated to anything this year? It is time for me to make my yearly xmas donations... Got any new charities in mind I should look at?

I feel like there is always room for corruption, and the UN has been proven to have its share. But I still think the UN does some amazing stuff, and they tend to stick around some of the world’s most dangerous areas.
WORLD FOOD PROGRAM
“The world must act now to prevent an even graver crisis here,” said Jean-Charles Dei, country director for the United Nations World Food Program, which is feeding 250,000 people in the Central African Republic, one of just a handful of organizations offering any aid at all here. “The international community must act to protect these vulnerable people or risk that they will be consumed by the crisis in the region.” – New York Times. Also, Lifestraw. I don’t know a whole lot about it, but it has caught my eye in the news.

Oh, and how could I forget Americorps

My friend participated in the program for 9 mos.
She lived on $4.50 a day. She gutted houses in Mississippi, built houses in Maine, and taught kids in the Bronx through NCCC. Definitely worth a donation. And if you have a year of your life and are looking for something to do, check out their many projects.
