Many people have seen my old room. Back in the day it was a hangout for many people. It has been years since anyone has lived in my room. I basically visit it once a year around Xmas and wax nostalgic, for a bit. It was time to finally start cleaning up the house a bit, which meant finally taking all of my stuff down. Then getting someone in there to paint the walls and replace the carpet (it is amazing what teenagers can do to a room).
Anyways, it brought all kinds of thoughts and emotions into my mind as a disassembled everything. It took a few hours every day to even get everything down, which gave me plenty of time to reflect on things. I didn't even finish with all the tacks, stickum, and tape on the walls my mom had to finish it all up after I left. I have tons of memories both good and bad from those times back in my room. Many firsts in my life occurred during that period, and many aspects of who I have become were formed then. Oddly I think about how much I have changed now from who I was during those times and sometimes it makes me wonder how much of the old me is still around. I am surprised by how much my priorities and focus on life has changed. Either way I know many pieces of my past are carried on within me every day. So it was sad to pull my past a part, throw much of it away, and box up the rest.
I have some things I collected from the wall (collage?) that people might want, I will be emailing out some pictures of some items to people to see if they care about any particular memento. If there is something you see in the pics posted below that you particularly care about let me know. Ah to grow up, and realize half the stuff you wasted so much time being upset about just doesn't matter at all in the long run.
The second picture cracks me up because the crappy stitching software inverted one of my walls.

A nice closeup of what the majority of the wall collage looks like up close.

One of the coolest things of my oldroom is that all of my friends left a hand print on one wall.

One of my favorite wall paintings was this Batman by Ben.

Another painting I liked was done on the ceiling around the fan, by Jesse.
