Joined to found the platform team building out platform capabilities for the consumer feature teams. Helped the consumer platform group grow from 2 ICs to 7 teams. Projects included rewriting authentication, adding various caching layers, improvements to infrastructure/platform performance (reducing server costs by 90% for some applications), improvements to observability tooling, supporting several extraction projects from legacy systems, REST to GraphQL, ERB to React, consolidation of analytics pipelines, and various internal dev tools. Created and coordinated the client experience architecture group driving async document-based decision-making using RFC/ADRs and diagraming and documenting multi-year vision and technology stack choices with long-term migration strategies.
