I know some people might be sick of my posts on widgets wanting a return to some of my other thoughts, but unfortunately this is what I am working on right now so it is dominating my thoughts. So here is a new Seekler widget, which allows users to instead of sharing all of their lists target a specific list or only a community list. We are hoping this will be a great way for users to share their lists and make lists on their blogs more useful. As always any thoughts appreciated, and enjoy a list of my favorite lists.

Thanks for the feedback people have given me on the Seekler widgets. Most of you I talked to in person, but I still wanted to show the new version here and ask for any other feedback people might have to improve the widget. So check out the old vs new picture, and all the embedded widgets on my pages should now be running the new version so you can try it out.

Also, it seems our best concert venues in Denver, has become one of our more searched lists. If you have a favorite place to see shows in Denver definitely add your opinion into the mix as well.

We are working on a feature on Seekler that would allow users to embed a Seekler widget pretty much anywhere myspace, facebook, blogs, iGoogle... So this is the first version, we aren't letting users use the widget yet, but I wanted to get some feedback of how the development is going. What features people would like, how the UI works, whats confusing? What looks good? Bad? Anyways the coolest thing is that the widget is Liquid meaning users can pick the width and the height for the widget and it will shrink and grow to fill the space. So check out the widget I have on my sidebar nav which is really thin and tall so it could fit in users toolbars, or you can see a really big widget embedded on the front page of Wasted Brains. Anyways I would appreciate any feedback so leave me a comment on the good the bad and the ugly.

Seekler is starting to get it's first bit of search engine traffic since we opened up viewing to the public.

It is fun to start seeing some traffic coming in.

So we are in a stealthy way launching Seekler. You can read about the 3 staged launch on our Pretheory blog. So basically this is step one where we are opening the doors to the public to browse the content and see what the site is about, but we aren't letting many people get accounts. Hopefully this will give us some good feedback on the idea, scalability, security, and let us start building links and search traffic to Seekler.

Everyone feel free to browse the site and give me any thoughts or feedback. We are pretty excited to get this first version out there. If you want an invite shoot me an email or leave a comment or something, we are limiting the site for now, but obviously if you know me I can slide you an invite.

We have been working for a long time and we are finally getting to push some of that work out to the public. It is really exciting to get our feedback from our first round of friends and family. We are hearing mostly good things. We definately had some user interface issues, but most of them we could clean up pretty quickly. We are now fixing some general data integrity issues, doing a security audit, and catching our testbed back up which fell behind in the last week or two rushing to get fixes out in front of our users.

We will be inviting more people on to use the site soon, but we have a couple fixes we want to finish up before getting more feedback, or we will just hear more about the same issues. If you want to make sure we will invite you soon, you can sign up at Seekler.

I know I haven't posted for awhile, it seems I have to much on my mind for me to write about anything. I guess I will have to work on that...

The good news is Seekler is getting some of it's first press. We received some coverage on mashable one of the top web 2.0 new sites. So check it out and leave a comment if you feel up to it, Seekler to Offer Community-Driven Reviews Site. I think it doesn't quite describe exactly what were doing perfectly, but I guess it gets the point about opinion search out there.

It is always a good time to get a little bit of press. We will have some more exciting news about the site as we get closer and closer to launch.

Oops sorry commenter's I didn't even realize my blog had been marking all of your comments as spam for the last month... I thought just no one was caring to comment on my blog anymore and I was sad, turns out I was just an idiot, so if you were hoping for a response I didn't ever see the message until now sorry.

Also the clock on the blog used to be off I had two people mention that I need to go to sleep and such based on the time of the entries but the time was entirely inaccurate for the last two months.

Well all that is fixed, moving on...

Well I am no longer the energy drink expert, as we have officially sold the Energy Drink Reviews site. It was fun to run and I will be helping out for awhile as they transition over, but I guess I have done that long enough. We sold the site so that we would have some funding for developing our product Seekler - Seek the best. So while I will miss certain aspects of the site, I will enjoy getting to focus my full attention towards our new growing project.

I am sure I will always follow the energy drink market a bit on the side, but slowly my knowledge of the subject will wane, and my knowledge in other areas with gain on it. So I guess I will have to give up that title sometime soon, but I have one final interview on NPR coming up, so I will enjoy my final moment of energy glory before walking away.

So Hooray for selling our first asset and the first real profits to speak of for Pretheory.

Side note I moved the monthly archives to their own page instead of the side bar, created a custom 404 page for this blog, and have placed every single post I have ever made on this blog in a category. So enjoy some of the small blog improvements.

Oh Yeah: I still really miss Erin.

Well I updated the code for uploading videos onto wasted brains that now allows for integration with YouTube so you can stream lower quality version of the videos or download the higher quality ones from my servers. Fun stuff.

So check out all the Funny Videos, and see the new set up in action pretty cool stuff huh. Now i guess i should really take the time to add th category code that i wrote for the pictures and art section of wastedbrains.

Well if you haven't gotten a chance to see my movie now is probably the time.

After about 2 weeks the website hosting Dead Awake will no longer exist. So i will have to say adios to those who have seen the film. Thanks to all those invovled and all those who supported me. Thanks to everyone who actually watched it. It was a fun little experiment in life and I hope to make another film sometime, but it doesn't seem to be in the cards for at least a little while. I was hoping to make a film this summer but various things occured and I wasn't in the mood to try to put that kind of dedication towards a project at this time.

It was a fun ride while it lasted. It looks like about 3,500 people have visited the site during the last year. Most of which were all during about a 1 month time when i actually promoted it online for a little while. If you have any last comments or feedback about it i guess you can leave them right here.

hey there is a new version of wastedbrains up and running now. Go check it out and make some comments. I think this should be pretty cool because it will add alot to the site besides just the massive amount of content that is already there. We will also keep adding new content when ever we finish up new projects and such. I have quite a bit of content on the way that will be added pretty soon.

I just added 6 reviews of the energy drinks that i found in mexico. So take a look Some of them were pretty good. I also recommend looking at the bomba website. It is pretty cool looking and has a hot topless girl. Why can't american companies have naked people advertise.

I added a ton of videos to the website today. I also added a bunch of papers and poems I have written. So go check them out.

Some of the best videos just added were golf, in which we drive golf balls at each other. Whipper snappers, where we throw whipper snappers at each other. Then tons of funny commercial that i found around and sent in from this guy named don who sends us funny video clips to put on the web.

Since who knows who will look here is one of the poems i added:

This is truely an amazing addition to our videos section. It is the first in a series of dumb acts that should be getting posted in the next couple weeks. In this we shoot Scott in the back with like 25 paintballs leaving huge wells. Take a Look at scott getting shot

today is a major update on wastedbrains. we updated the writting, videos, and programming sections of the site. so go check out the new stuff. make sweet love to the site and cause some revenge.

My good friend and president of CSU turned 21 yesterday and we did the bars up good... I have no money left but it was worth it. So the pictures are up under the projects section of wasted brains. Take a look at them and love them for all they are... hehe
